They better come out with a 1.0.3 sometime soon after reading everyone's experiences with 1.0.2. I plan on uninstalling my iTunes (Windows PC) & reinstalling in hopes of dodging the 1.0.2 update before my initial sync with this new iPod. But remember, I did install the 1.0.2 update just before the problems started 🙂īy the way, I'm posting this from my local apple store I got my 160GB Black iPod Classic replaced for a new one after reading others who experienced some other issues not discussed in my post I hope that this new iPod resolves my disc, battery, usage & overall problems. Third I'm with you all on the battery issue suddenly I started experiencing these issues in the last 1-2 days.Ĭould it be a coincidence? Anything is possible. The blank album thumbnail loaded on the screen right away, but the cover & song took about 10-15 seconds to load. Secondly, browsing to & playing music resulted in a 10 or so second delay before my song started. This never happened with my 5th or 6th generation iPods before. I don't know if these issues are related to the 1.0.2 update or not, but today at work, my music & ipod just turned off every 7-15 minutes & when I looked at my iPod, it was at the Charging screen (in my dock). But from what I've seen so far & no official release notes, I'm almost about to assume that 1.0.2 only fixes Coverflow & may actually possibly be breaking the photos, etc. I plan on trying a full restore to re-image my iPod Classic & see if that is fixed.ģ) Yes, I'll admit: Coverflow does seem less 'shaky'. Just that 1st large view of images is messed up. If I hit the center button again for Slideshow, the slideshow works fine. I was able to view them as thumbnails, but when clicking once on a thumbnail for an enlarged image, I get all grey. _After upgrading to 1.0.2, I found that:_ġ) The 'Backlight' bug (30 second light off option is really 20 seconds) hasn't been fixed.Ģ) On both devices, I had trouble viewing 70% of my Photos. The 2 80's that are upgraded to 1.0.2 still have issues. *I confirmed this on 2 iPod Classic 80 GB & am about to upgrade a 160 GB from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2.*
